Terms of Service
Tech with Glory is a learning platform run by Glory Benson (“I”, “me” or “my”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for using techwithglory.com and the Tech with Glory learning platform. By joining the early-access list, creating a student account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. The service
Tech with Glory provides free learning content about Python, data analysis and machine learning. This includes video lessons, code challenges, quizzes, an in-browser code editor and monthly live check-ins. Lessons are usually released weekly from Thursday to Saturday, but the schedule and content may change.
The learning series is currently free. If paid features are ever introduced, you will be told clearly before you are charged anything, and you will never be charged for anything you have already received for free.
2. Who can use the platform
You must be at least 16 years old to join the early-access list or create a student account.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
- Your account is for you only. Do not share your login details with anyone else.
- Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Email info@techwithglory.com straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
4. Acceptable use
To keep the platform a respectful and productive place to learn, you agree not to:
- harass, insult or discriminate against other learners or the instructor;
- post or submit anything that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or that infringes someone else’s rights;
- submit work that is not your own and present it as yours;
- upload malicious code, or try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users’ accounts;
- copy, scrape or bulk-download course content, or use it to build a competing service;
- use the platform for advertising or spam.
5. Platform content
The videos, lesson text, code examples, challenges, quizzes and other materials on the platform are owned by Tech with Glory or used with permission. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, re-upload, sell or publicly share course materials, including videos and live check-in recordings, without written permission. Sharing a link to techwithglory.com is always welcome.
You are free to use the code examples shown in lessons in your own projects.
6. Your submissions
You keep ownership of the code, answers and files you submit. By submitting them, you allow the platform to store them, review them, give you feedback and marks, and keep them as part of your learning record. Your submissions will not be published with your name attached without your permission.
Please do not include passwords, other people’s personal data or confidential information in your submissions.
7. Live check-ins and recordings
Monthly live check-ins are held online and may be recorded so that learners who could not attend can watch later. Recordings are added to the course. You will always be told at the start of a session when it is being recorded. You can take part with your camera and microphone switched off and use the chat instead.
8. The code editor
The in-browser code editor runs code on your own device. It is provided for practice and may not support every feature or library. Please do not rely on it to store important work, and keep a copy of anything you want to save. The “Correct” check in a challenge compares your output with the expected output and is a learning aid. Your submitted challenge is reviewed separately.
9. Emails
If you join the early-access list, you will receive emails about the learning series. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. If you have a student account, you may also receive service messages about your account and your courses, such as enrolment confirmations and feedback notifications.
10. No guarantees
Every effort is made to keep the content clear and accurate, but the platform and its content are provided “as is” for educational purposes. Tech with Glory does not guarantee that the content is error-free, that the platform will always be available, or that completing a course will lead to a particular job, grade or outcome.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tech with Glory is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profit or opportunity, arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
12. Suspending or closing accounts
Accounts that break these Terms, put other users or the platform at risk, or are used unlawfully may be suspended or closed. Where reasonable, you will be told why. You can close your account at any time by emailing info@techwithglory.com. The platform or any course may also be changed, paused or ended, with notice given where reasonably possible.
13. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used and protected.
14. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as the platform grows. When a significant change is made, the effective date above will be updated and, where appropriate, you will be notified by email. If you continue to use the platform after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply where Tech with Glory is operated. If you live in the UK, the European Union or another country with mandatory consumer protection laws, you keep the full protection of those laws and may bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
If you have a concern or complaint, please get in touch first at info@techwithglory.com so it can be resolved quickly and fairly.
